A great article that defines all the major rule
differences between the NCAA and NFHS Football Rule books. |
| How It's done at De LaSalle |
Coach Bob Ladouceur of De Lesalle High School
in California (one of the winningest High School programs of all time) talks
about Teamwork, Motivation, and Preparation. |
| Football Coaching
Terminology |
Have you always wondered what the difference
between Cover 5 and Man/Free was? Curious about the difference between a
2 Technique and a C Gap player? Check out Ted Seay's excellent article on
common football terminology here. |
| Building a Better Full
Back |
This is the presentation I gave at the Dallas
DW Symposium. I talk about the ways I go about making sure I have a strong
running game from the Full Back position. This is a Power Point file that
I made on my Mac. Some of the animations get screwed up when you view it
on a PC, but the content is still good. |
| Severe
Angle Blocking |
Coach Jack Gregory's excellent presentation from
the Dallas Symposium on the SAB concept as applied to the Double Wing. Coach
Gregory does a great job showing us how to effectively angle block
just about any play in the DW arsenal. |
| Running the
Wedge |
Another great presentation given by Coach Gregory
at the Dallas Symposium. This one addresses the fundamentals of a good Wedge
play and is a must have. W-O-D!!! :) |
| Double Wing Option |
Coach Malcolm Robinson delivered this outstanding
presentation on running the Option from the Double Wing set at the Dallas
Symposium. One of my personal favorites. It paints a nice clear picture
of how to run an effective option play from within the DW scheme. |
| Setting Up
the Counter |
Coach Mike Beam's presentation from the Dallas
Symposium. Coach Beam outlines his thoughts on setting up and using Counter
plays from the Double Wing set.- You'll hear Gospel music when you watch
it...I know we did in Dallas... (you had to be there) :-) |
| Bunch Passing
In the Double Wing Offense |
As always, Ted Seay delivers some of the best DW passing stuff
I've seen. Coach Seay seamlessly works his bunch passing concepts into the
base double-tight, Double Wing. A truly unique way to approach the DW passing
game.-Don't forget to catch the special notes Coach Seay included in his
presentation, it's like having Ted there to talk you through it. |
| The Double
Wing |
Coach Derek Wade touches many important aspects
of coaching a Double Wing team. From game planning, to defensive recognition,
to scouting, to 'working' the booth...It's all in there. Derek
made this PowerPoint with embedded video and that doesn't translate well
for web applications. The portions of this presentation that had contained
motion pictures only contain still images now, but it's still an excellent
presentation. |
| Coaches- I strongly recommend you try to secure
a copy of the VHS of the '04 Symposium when it becomes available. You'll
be able to view these presentations as they were delivered, catching all
of the video and discussion that took place. |
